The Legend of Coffee
Have you ever wondered about the origins of your beloved morning brew? According to legend, coffee was discovered by an Ethiopian goat herder named Kaldi. The story goes that Kaldi noticed his goats were particularly energetic after eating berries from a certain tree – so energetic, in fact, that they didn’t want to sleep at night. Intrigued, Kaldi reported his findings to a local monastery. The abbot there made a drink with the berries and found that it kept him alert during long evening prayers. This iscovery quickly spread among the monks and eventually reached the rest of the world, giving us the energizing beverage we now and love today.
